We were fortunate to have met Mark Strayer and Sawtooth Mountain Builders while we were in the process of looking for land to build our custom home. Mark was extremely helpful in helping us envision how a house could sit on a property. Mark was also very helpful when we started designing our home with our architect. Mark was not only able to help translate to us what the completed design would look like but also make suggestions as to what would be functional and look best in a completed home.
After construction had begun, Mark was very helpful in advising and selecting finishes and interior design items such as kitchen layout, cabinetry, fixtures, tile, flooring and colors. Mark has an excellent eye for making sure that finishes complement each other. Mark even visited many of the design stores with us – now that is personal attention! I suspect that most custom home builders do not offer this extraordinarily high level of service as part of the construction process – and certainly do not deliver it at no incremental cost. Sawtooth Mountain Builders definitely goes the extra mile for its clients.
Sawtooth Mountain Builders does not win a project at a low cost and then request change orders to increase the size of the contract. Our change orders were minimal and were solely based on changes and upgrades that we felt were necessary to obtain the finished look that we desired. It is clear that Sawtooth Mountain Builders believes in “no surprises”.
All custom home builders will brag about the quality of their product. However, we believe Sawtooth Mountain Builders’ attention to detail is beyond comparison. Sawtooth Mountain Builders is meticulous with regard to finishes which are visible — and just as meticulous with regard to structural and other details that you can’t see.
